Privacy Policy — Smart Shopping List

Smart Shopping List (the "App") is developed and operated by KeyQuest Studio (the "Developer"). This page explains how the App collects, uses and stores information about its users. The App is available in Hebrew, English, Russian, Arabic, French, German and Spanish.
1. Information collected
The App may collect the following types of information:
- Google or Apple account details — name, email address and profile picture, only if you choose to sign in with Google or Apple in order to sync.
- List content — items you add to your shopping lists (including an "out of stock at the store" mark and notes), stored in Firebase (Google) so your lists sync between devices and family members.
- Guest mode — users who don't sign in receive a temporary anonymous identifier; no personally identifying information is collected.
- Phone number (optional) — only if you choose to add it under Settings → "My phone number", by typing it or by picking a single contact from your contacts. On iPhone, Apple's system shows the contact picker itself — the App receives only the contact you chose and has no general access to your contact list. On Android, the App asks for permission to access your contacts only when you tap "Pick from contacts", and reads only the contact you choose; nothing from your contacts is sent to our servers except the number you choose to save as "My phone number". The number is shown only to the members of your shared lists, so they can call you from the App. You can remove it at any time, and it is deleted when you delete your account. A "quick call" contact you choose for a list is stored only on your device.
- Voice input (optional) — when you tap the microphone button, your speech is converted to text by the device's speech recognition service (Apple / Google). The App does not save recordings.
- Pantry (optional, iPhone) — a list of what you have at home and how much is left. It is kept on your device only and shared solely with the developer's ForkFlip recipe app through storage on the device. It is not sent to any server and is not collected.
- Push token — used to send notifications about list changes, if you allow notifications.
- Telegram chat identifier — only if you choose to connect a list to the Telegram bot, to link messages to the right list.
2. How information is used
The information collected is used only for:
- Showing your shopping lists on all of your devices
- Sharing lists with family members you invite
- Letting list members call each other, for those who chose to share a number
- Price comparison between Israeli supermarket chains (performed on an external server and containing no personal details; shown in Hebrew only)
3. Sharing with third parties
The App uses the following external services:
The Developer does not sell, rent or share your personal information with any other third party.
4. Security
All data is transmitted and stored encrypted using Google's Firebase services. We apply commonly accepted security measures to protect your information.
5. Retention
Shopping list data is kept as long as your account is active. You can delete all your data at any time by deleting your account from within the App.
6. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new update date.
